Masters road runners Bev Barnes is leading in her age group for the Lower Mainland Road Race Series (www.lmrrs.com) after excellent results in the Longest Day 5km and Summerfast 10km. Bev won her age group in 48:59 at the Summerfast 10km which is her second win this season. She won her age group at the Sandcastle 10km in June which was the first time she ever place first in her age group. She also ran a personal best at the Longest day 5km in 23:26.01, a new club record. She will be racing the final at the Richmond Olympic Oval 10km august 18; the final event of the series. Bev also finished second in the Timex Series.

Rob Watt has also been racing strong in the LMRRS Series and Times Series. He finished 3rd in the Timex Series and is currently in 4th in the LMRRS. He plans to race the Squamish 10km And Richmond Oval 10km next month. Rob recently finished 4th in the Summerfast 10k in 39:27.
