Point Grey Senior Women send first-ever team to Nationals
Team BC member and former UBC standout, Sabrina Wilkie leads the Point Grey Track Club senior women’s team into the Canadian Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Jericho Beach Park in Vancouver. This will be the first time ever that Point Grey has fielded a senior women’s team at a national championships.
Point Grey runners, Jen Moroz and Katrina Bruckschwaiger should bring experience and depth to the team.
UBC t-bird Rhiannon Evans is coming off a strong performance at the NAIA Cross Country Championships in Washington, where she was fifth scorer on the winning UBC squad. She will look to score for Point Grey on Saturday.
UBC runners Maggie Woodward, Lissa Zimmer and Jenny McCormack round out the team.
Point Grey’s Kirsten Lee will run in the Junior Women’s 5-kilometre Championship race. More news
