Pawluk 12th at NACACsPublished by
Samuel Pawluk finished 12th in the senior men's race at the NACAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday in Port of Spain, Trinidad, as Canadian teammate and fellow British Columbian Cameron Levins won the individual title.
Pawluk covered the eight-kilometre course at Queen's Park Savannah in 25:35, while Levins ran 24:04 to win by six-seconds.
The Canadian men won silver in the team competition, scoring 23 points, behind the USA's 14 points. Jamaica - better known for their sprinting talents - was third, with 72 points.
With no World Cross Country Championships this year, NACACs marked the end of the cross country season. Pawluk will now shift his attention to the roads and track. He is scheduled to race Harry's Spring Run-Off 8k in Vancouver next weekend.
